Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Curate and manage the wine list in line with the concept and guest profile of RESERVA 52 LOUNGE
- Recommend wines and pairings based on menu choices and guest preferences
- Deliver professional, engaging wine service and ensure correct storage, handling, and serving temperatures
- Train and support the team on wine knowledge, service standards, and upselling techniques
- Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and support purchasing and supplier relationships
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards and maintain an organized cellar/storage area
- Contribute to wine promotions, tastings, events, and seasonal recommendations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sommelier in a high-end restaurant, lounge, or hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of international wines, grape varieties, regions, and food pairing
- Confident communication skills with a guest-first, service-driven mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards under pressure
- Team player with a professional appearance and attitude
- Good knowledge of English (Greek is mandatory)
- Sommelier certification (WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or equivalent) is an advantage
