Our Cyprus office is growing, and we are looking for a dynamic, career-oriented individual to join our team as a Tax Advisor.
Job description:
Analyse financial and operational data to identify tax risks, optimization opportunities, and strategic initiatives across all jurisdictions.
Oversee and coordinate tax audits, liaising with authorities, external auditors, and consultants to ensure smooth and compliant processes.
Guide and participate in tax provisioning, reporting, and preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Monitor changes in local and international tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization, providing actionable guidance to leadership.
Evaluate existing tax policies and procedures, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and alignment with business objectives.
Preparation and review of complex corporate, indirect, and, where applicable, individual or trust tax returns across offices.
Develop and implement tax processes, workflows, and efficiency initiatives across all company offices to create a scalable function.
Serve as the primary tax advisor to senior management and the Board of Directors, performing any additional tax-related duties or projects as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
ACCA Qualification is preferred.
Fluency in English and Greek is a must.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting and tax.
Experience with tax compliance, including filing tax returns and responding to tax audits.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel and MS Office and computer literate.
Understanding of IFRS accounting standards and familiarity with software programs “Cycom” and “Caseware” will be considered an advantage.
