As our fleet and management portfolio continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced Technical Manager to join our growing team.

Your Role

As Technical Manager, you will oversee the technical management of our managed fleet, ensuring every vessel is maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability and presentation.

You will coordinate maintenance schedules, supervise drydock projects, manage refits and upgrades, liaise with captains and owners, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities

✔ Technical management of luxury yachts

✔ Planning and supervising drydock periods

✔ Managing refits and technical upgrades

✔ Preparing technical specifications

✔ Obtaining quotations and negotiating with shipyards

✔ Budget preparation and cost control

✔ Liaising with yacht owners, captains and engineers

✔ Supervising contractors/technical crew-staff and project execution

✔ Managing statutory surveys and inspections

✔ Ensuring compliance with Flag State and Classification requirements

✔ Maintaining technical records and planned maintenance systems

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Previous experience in yacht technical management or as a Chief Engineer
• Strong knowledge of yacht mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
• Experience managing refit and drydock projects
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Fluent English
• Legal right to work in Cyprus

Desirable

• Marine Engineering qualification
• Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency
• Experience with MTU, MAN, Caterpillar and Volvo Penta engines
• Knowledge of ISM, MLC and Class requirements
• Experience with Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS)
