The Academy’s motto “To Grow and to Serve” underlies the philosophy of the Academy and encourages all children to be leading citizens and lifelong learners.&nbsp;We seek to recruit a full time enthusiastic and committed Early Years (3 years old) Room Leader to join our teaching team at the American Academy Larnaca Junior School in the new academic year 2025-2026.&nbsp;We provide:<ul><li>Competitive remuneration package &nbsp;</li><li>Creative, exciting, friendly and vibrant working environment</li><li>Personal and professional development</li><li>Dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff</li></ul>&nbsp;Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Curriculum Planning: Plan E3 activities covering the full EYFS curriculum, including annual and termly overviews for parents.</li><li>Assessment and Reporting: Regularly assess children’s progress, provide detailed reports to parents three times a year, and keep the Headteacher updated.</li><li>Parent Support: Communicate children’s progress informally each week and conduct appraisals for new admissions.</li><li>Staff Management: Lead performance management for E3 staff in collaboration with the Senior Teacher: EYFS.</li><li>Risk and Resource Management: Oversee risk assessments, resource ordering, and ensure value for money in E3 provision.</li></ul>&nbsp;Requirements:<ul><li>Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent is mandatory</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Primary Education (EYFS) is desirable (priority would be given to KYSATS recognised Degree holders)</li><li>5 years of experience within an Early Years Setting, which teaches in English or English &amp; Greek</li><li>Proven experience managing the curriculum within an EYFS setting</li><li>Native standard English, speaking &amp; writing (proficiency in Greek would be an advantage)</li><li>Experience of managing safeguarding aspects unique to EYFS aged children and below – intimate care</li><li>Experience managing parental expectations within their child’s first nursery setting</li><li>Proven track record of organisation within the classroom</li><li>Experience in managing staff</li><li>Ability to be flexible, work on initiative and deal with whatever the day holds</li><li>Absolute passion for the education of young children</li></ul>&nbsp;Applications:&nbsp;Application form (https://onlinerecruitment.exelsyslive.com/?c=6526F30A-3DF0-4BB5-9190-03946D698870&amp;v=VAC063) to be submitted together with a curriculum vitae, cover letter and all relevant certificates not later than Friday, 23rd May 2025.
