Senior Accountant On behalf of a client, we are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to take ownership of end-to-end accounting and financial operations related to sponsorship revenues, athlete disbursements, and associated professional services. Objective This role involves managing bookkeeping and reporting processes, liaising with consultants and external service providers, and ensuring all financial activity aligns with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements. Position’s Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Oversee and manage all aspects of client revenue and disbursements, including the reconciliation of sponsor payments and application of commission structures.</li><li>Ensure timely remittance of balances to athletes by tracking multiple income streams such as retainers, tournament bonuses, ranking bonuses, and appearance fees.</li><li>Maintain accurate financial records, including transaction posting aligned with contractual milestones, and perform regular bank and client account reconciliations.</li><li>Monitor sponsor receivables, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation for compliance, including tax disclosures, and KYC requirements.</li><li>Support the preparation and review of VAT filings, corporate tax returns, annual financial statements, and ensure timely submissions to Companies House and other regulatory bodies.</li><li>Coordinate UK-based payroll processing.</li><li>Maintain oversight of consultant compensation arrangements, including fixed and bonus components.</li><li>Track performance milestones to assess bonus eligibility where applicable.</li></ul> Position’s Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other related field.</li><li>Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting or client-accounting environments.</li><li>Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel capability.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of English and Greek languages.</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Experience in the sports, talent management, or sponsorship sectors would be considered an advantage.</li></ul> Employer’s Details Benefits<ul><li>13th&nbsp;salary</li><li>Pension scheme</li><li>Discretionary bonus</li></ul>If you are interested, please submit your CV via the provided link: <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://recruitcrm.io/apply/17531051080920069663iyV">https://recruitcrm.io/apply/17531051080920069663iyV</a>
