Iacovou Group, one of the most reputable and established Construction Groups in Cyprus and Abroad, seeks to recruit an experienced and high caliber professional for the position of&nbsp;Health and Safety Coordinator.&nbsp;Responsibilities:<ul><li>Ensures compliance to the Group Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) policy and procedures, adhering to the respective local HSSE legislation and remains abreast of any changes</li><li>Daily inspects the site and in co-operation with the Site Engineer ensures that all relevant procedures are being properly implemented and identifies hazards, assesses risks and suggests the necessary control measures to mitigate identified risks</li><li>Assists in the development, implementation and communication of HSSE documentation and procedures in accordance with the Group’s HSSE system objectives, as well as with the applicable local regulations in coordination with the Health and Safety Officer</li><li>Keeps up to date the Health, Safety, Security &amp; Environment commitments register, that involves documenting all office and site-based permits, local Health, Safety, Security and Environmental plan requirements and associated evidence</li><li>Provides technical expertise and input to pre-qualifications, request for quotations and tender evaluations</li><li>Develops and maintains processes for ensuring the timely reporting and updating of the HSSE system</li><li>Assists the QHSSE Officer to ensure compliance with the corporate, health and safety management system by monitoring and coordinating each project’s Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment plan</li><li>Carries out the relevant risk assessments and identifies solutions to mitigate any risks proactively</li><li>Ensures H&amp;S training, so that Group policies and procedures are adhered to properly</li><li>Ensures that all staff assigned as health, safety and environment appointed contacts are properly trained according to defined guidelines as required by local legislation and Group policies</li><li>Coordinates the development and implementation of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental training programs</li><li>Performs HSSE induction in the Office for new joiners and delivers all HSSE related trainings</li><li>Ensures that all incidents are properly documented, reported and investigated</li></ul>&nbsp;Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering</li><li>Member of Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK), eligible in all respects according to the currently applicable law</li><li>1-2 years recent and relevant experience in a similar role</li><li>General Health &amp; Safety Certificate qualified or working towards obtaining such a certificate accreditation</li><li>Relevant Environmental Certificate</li><li>Experience of formulating, implementing and revising Health &amp; Safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Planning and organisation skills</li><li>Communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Knowledge of quality controls and standards in the Construction and Civil engineering industries</li><li>Knowledge of quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and standards</li><li>Computer literacy</li><li>Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written</li></ul>A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, according to qualifications and experience.
