This is a fixed-term project-based position offering the opportunity to work on large-scale aviation infrastructure with international standards. The successful candidate will oversee all mechanical installation activities, ensure compliance with project specifications, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to deliver excellence in MEP systems for critical airport operations.&nbsp;Working Conditions<ul><li>Fixed-term project contract: 18-24 months with possibility of extension for the Defect Liability Period (2 years)</li><li>Location: Larnaca Airport Project, Cyprus (local hire position)</li><li>Target candidates: Local Cypriot engineers or professionals with existing Cyprus work authorization</li><li>Site-based position with airport security clearance requirements</li><li>Work schedule: Full-time, 40-48 hours per week depending on project phase and construction deadlines</li><li>May require occasional travel to Pafos or other project locations within Cyprus</li><li>Salary package includes all compensation (transportation costs covered within salary)</li><li>Medical coverage provided through project Employer Liability Insurance</li><li>Annual leave entitlement as per Cyprus Labor Law</li><li>Preference for candidates based in Larnaca to minimize commute requirements</li><li>Work environment: Active construction site with airport operational constraints</li><li>Safety compliance: Adherence to international construction HSE standards and airport security protocols</li></ul>Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical Installation Management<ul><li>Oversee all mechanical installation activities including HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, drainage, and chilled water systems</li><li>Ensure strict compliance with project specifications, technical drawings, and international safety standards</li><li>Supervise installation of air handling units, ductwork, piping networks, pumps, and mechanical equipment specific to airport operations</li><li>Coordinate mechanical works with airport operational requirements and security protocols</li></ul>Technical Documentation &amp; Coordination<ul><li>Review and approve mechanical shop drawings, as-built documentation, and technical submittals</li><li>Prepare detailed progress reports, method statements, risk assessments, and IPC (Inspection and Test Plans) documentation</li><li>Review mechanical BOQs (Bills of Quantities) and material submittals for procurement support and approval</li><li>Maintain comprehensive project documentation for handover and DLP requirements</li></ul>Cross-functional Collaboration<ul><li>Coordinate effectively with MEP trades, main contractor (Bouygues), consultants, and client representatives</li><li>Resolve technical issues promptly to ensure seamless project execution and minimize delays</li><li>Participate in site meetings, technical discussions, and value engineering initiatives</li><li>Interface with airport authorities and regulatory bodies as required for approvals and compliance</li></ul>Quality Control &amp; Team Supervision<ul><li>Supervise site mechanical teams, subcontractors, and technicians to maintain quality standards</li><li>Conduct regular site inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems</li><li>Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality benchmarks, and HSE regulations throughout all construction phases</li><li>Lead testing and commissioning activities for critical airport mechanical infrastructure</li></ul>Qualifications and RequirementsEducation &amp; Experience<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution</li><li>Minimum 6-7 years of relevant experience in mechanical site engineering for construction projects</li><li>Previous experience with large-scale infrastructure projects (airports, hospitals, commercial complexes) highly preferred</li><li>Proven track record of managing mechanical installations from design review through commissioning</li></ul>Technical Expertise<ul><li>Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water plants, air distribution, and ventilation design</li><li>Expertise in plumbing systems, drainage networks, fire protection systems, and water supply installations</li><li>Comprehensive understanding of mechanical codes, international standards (ASHRAE, BS, NFPA), and construction methodologies</li><li>Familiarity with airport mechanical systems including terminal HVAC, baggage handling cooling, and specialized ventilation (preferred)</li></ul>Software &amp; Technical Skills<ul><li>Proficient in AutoCAD for mechanical design review and coordination (required)</li><li>Working knowledge of Revit for BIM coordination and clash detection (required)</li><li>Competent in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project) for reporting and documentation</li><li>Experience with project management software (Procore, Primavera) is an advantage</li></ul>Professional Competencies<ul><li>Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong analytical and decision-making skills</li><li>Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal) for international project team collaboration</li><li>Proven leadership capabilities with experience supervising technical teams and subcontractors</li><li>Strong attention to detail with commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance</li></ul>Legal &amp;
