The incumbent holding this role is responsible for ordering and procuring the required materials per project/activity cost requirements and quality specifications, as well as the shipping, delivery and clearing of goods.&nbsp;Main Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Responsible for executing all purchases of construction materials, services, tools, machinery, scaffolding and shuttering</li><li>Provides support with the establishment of service agreements based on a list of predetermined suppliers and monitors their performance in coordination with the Tendering &amp; Procurement Manager</li><li>Supports the negotiation of supplier contracts and ensures that such supplies are of consistently high quality at the most economical cost and ensures that favourable credit terms are obtained</li><li>Review the market and identify potential new suppliers</li><li>Requests and evaluates quotations and places orders to suppliers in cooperation with the Tendering &amp; Procurement Manager and the Construction Operations Manager on the basis of the list of prequalified suppliers</li><li>Ensures the smooth Customs Clearance of all materials and ensures the dispatch of supplies and timely delivery of the goods as required</li><li>Monitors and chases outstanding orders and enquiry files on a regular basis</li><li>Provides support to the Estimating unit for any estimations and calculations for tender submissions and estimating quotations</li><li>Other responsibilities and authorities as defined in the Group’s procedures or as instructed by the Tendering &amp; Procurement Manager</li></ul>&nbsp;Key Competencies:<ul><li>Planning and organisation skills</li><li>Communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Negotiation skills</li><li>Analytical and numerical skills</li><li>Budgeting and monitoring skills</li><li>Knowledge of the market and suppliers</li><li>Knowledge of procurement procedures and purchasing standards</li><li>Problem solving and decision making skills</li></ul>&nbsp;Specific Requirements<ul><li>At least 3 years’ relevant experience</li><li>Experience in supporting suppliers’ contracts</li><li>Excellent skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook</li><li>Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering will be considered an advantage</li><li>Membership in ETEK will be considered an advantage&nbsp;</li></ul>Please send your CV to <a href="mailto:recruitment@iacovougroup.com">recruitment@iacovougroup.com</a> by June 13th 2026.&nbsp;All applications will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
