Our client is a well-established real estate investment and development company with operations across Greece and Cyprus. The company focuses on hospitality and residential projects, managing a diverse portfolio of developments in the region and abroad. On be half of our client we are seeking an accountant to join their finance team.Benefits– Career growth and development opportunities-Competitive remuneration package, including a 13th and 14th salary.– Provident Fund– Private health insurance– 21 days of annual leave– Complimentary daily meals during shifts– Professional body subscription cover (e.g. ICAEW, ACCA, etc.)&nbsp;Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform general accounting and bookkeeping duties as required by the parent company</li><li>Record transactions / post journal entries into the GL</li><li>Assist in maintaining accurate accounting records for the company</li><li>Prepare monthly trial balances and assist Finance Manager in preparing management accounts</li><li>Process accounts payable and accounts receivable including verifying invoices and ensuring timely payments</li><li>Prepare weekly payment run and ensure suppliers are paid on time and according to budget</li><li>Monitoring cash and preparing weekly cash balances report</li><li>Verify the accuracy and appropriateness of invoices received, ensuring they are issued to the correct entity within the group</li><li>Keep the company’s petty cash, perform timely cash count and cash reconciliation</li><li>Assist in preparation of VAT and other tax returns as required by legislation</li><li>Assist in the statutory audits of the Group</li><li>Assist in tax planning and ensure compliance with tax laws in coordination with tax consultants and auditors</li><li>Assist in the review and provision of Know Your Customer (KYC) documents for external service providers</li><li>Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as required by the Finance Manager or Group CFO</li><li>Report to the Group’s Finance Manager</li></ul>&nbsp;Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field</li><li>Experience in a similar role in accounting department</li><li>Familiarity with accounting software / ERP systems will be considered an asset</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel</li><li>Excellent command of English, both written and spoken</li><li>Organized and proactive with strong attention to detail</li><li>Strong numerical and analytical skills</li><li>Team-oriented with effective good communication skills</li><li>Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines</li></ul>&nbsp;HOW TO APPLYIf you are interested, click <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://work-channel.com/job_positions/accountant-in-limassol-12/">HERE&nbsp;</a>&nbsp;Note: Thank you for taking the time to apply.
