Company / Client OverviewOn behalf of our client, a specialized tax and advisory firm, we are seeking to recruit a UK Tax Assistant to join their growing team. The firm advises high net worth individuals, internationally mobile professionals, entrepreneurs, and expatriates on UK and international taxation matters.This is an excellent opportunity for a taxation professional with experience in UK personal tax compliance who is looking to further develop their expertise within a supportive and highly specialized environment. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of UK tax matters while working alongside experienced tax professionals.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities• Prepare and file UK Self Assessment tax returns accurately and efficiently • Manage UTR (Unique Taxpayer Reference), PAYE, and other UK tax registrations with HMRC • Perform income tax calculations relating to employment income, self employment, rental income, investment income, and capital gains • Support income tax, inheritance tax (IHT), capital gains tax (CGT), and general tax planning assignments for individuals and businesses • Assist with expatriate UK exit notifications and double tax relief claims • Maintain accurate client records, tax files, and supporting documentation • Liaise directly with HMRC regarding client matters when required • Ensure all filing deadlines and compliance obligations are met • Provide administrative and operational support to the tax department • Assist with cross border taxation matters and international tax planning projects&nbsp;Requirements• Fluency in English, both written and spoken • Minimum 3 years of experience preparing UK personal tax returns • Strong understanding of UK tax filing procedures and HMRC processes, including Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements • Knowledge of UK tax deadlines and compliance obligations • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem solving skills • High level of attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent organizational and time management abilities • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and tax/accounting software • Strong communication and interpersonal skills&nbsp;Desirable Qualifications• Greek language skills will be considered an advantage • Basic knowledge of Cyprus taxation • Previous experience within an accountancy firm or specialist tax practice • Exposure to cross border tax planning and expatriate taxation matters • Currently studying towards or interested in pursuing professional qualifications such as ATT, AAT, ACA, or ACCA&nbsp;What the Company Offers• Competitive remuneration package • Flexible working arrangements • Study support where applicable • Relocation package where applicable • Supportive and collaborative working environment • Exposure to UK and international taxation matters • Excellent opportunities for rapid career progression and professional development&nbsp;Last but not least, at DART Recruitment 🎯 we are by your side every step of the way, offering support, guidance and complete confidentiality throughout your career journey.
