As part of its strategic expansion, the University is&nbsp;establishing&nbsp;its School of Dentistry and invites applications for the position of&nbsp;Director of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)&nbsp;programme.As the School develops its foundational academic offerings, we are&nbsp;seeking&nbsp;a dedicated and experienced academic to lead the management, delivery, and quality assurance of the undergraduate dental&nbsp;programme.The Director will play a key role in ensuring that the BDS&nbsp;programme&nbsp;delivers a rigorous, integrated educational experience combining theoretical knowledge with high-level clinical competence.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Program Management:&nbsp;Oversee the day-to-day academic and administrative operations of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery program, ensuring effective curriculum delivery and alignment with international standards.</li><li>Quality Assurance:&nbsp;Lead&nbsp;program&nbsp;evaluation and continuous improvement processes, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Clinical Training Coordination:&nbsp;Work closely with clinical leads to ensure that student rotations and practical training meet all safety, ethical, and professional requirements.</li><li>Student Progression &amp; Support:&nbsp;Monitor student performance and provide academic guidance and mentorship to support successful outcomes.&nbsp;</li><li>Research &amp; Scholarly Activity:&nbsp;Maintain an active research profile and contribute to the&nbsp;School’s&nbsp;research output, while fostering student engagement in research.&nbsp;</li></ul>Essential Qualifications<ul><li>Academic Credentials:&nbsp;Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry and a Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Dental Sciences or a closely related medical discipline. The candidate must hold the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.</li><li>Research Portfolio:&nbsp;A solid record of research and publications, demonstrating a commitment to advancing the field of dental sciences.</li><li>Educational Leadership Experience:&nbsp;Experience in&nbsp;programme&nbsp;management and undergraduate teaching within a dental education environment.</li><li>Teaching &amp; Mentorship:&nbsp;Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and mentoring of students.</li></ul>ApplicationsThe University of Limassol is committed to academic excellence and equal opportunity.&nbsp;All applications will be treated with strict confidentiality.
