Our school benefits from a dedicated and talented staff, a strong financial foundation, and a progressive approach to education.&nbsp;🔍 Key ResponsibilitiesAs outlined in the full Job Description, your responsibilities will include:<ul><li>Teaching and monitoring classes of Physics student throughout their study of their corresponding Physics curricula.</li><li>Delivery of outstanding lessons for IB, A Level, IGCSE, KS3 General Science depending on experience and departmental needs .</li><li>Inspire and guide Physics students to external competitions contributing to our enriched curriculum programme.</li><li>Coordination and collaboration with Science Faculty staff to update and improve resources and schemes of work</li><li>&nbsp;Report to the Physics department Subject Lead / Science Head of Faculty</li></ul>Learning and Teaching<ul><li>Planning and preparing stimulating, challenging, enjoyable learning opportunities which take into regard the curriculum of the school and the individual abilities of the pupils in the class</li><li>Consistently teaching at a high level to ensure pupils’ learning is challenging and progressing</li><li>Whenever possible, giving immediate oral or written feedback to pupils about their learning so that they know how to improve</li><li>Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils</li><li>Checking on the academic progress of individual pupils on a regular basis</li><li>Differentiating teaching materials so that tasks and expectations are appropriate and support and challenge pupils whatever their levels of ability</li><li>Ensuring that all records and data collection are kept up to date and that information is passed onto Subject Leaders, Faculty Head and the Head Teacher in a timely manner</li><li>Communicating and consulting with the parents or carers of pupils about their child’s progress in all areas</li><li>Communicating and consulting with specialist teachers when required</li><li>Communicating and co-operating with agencies outside the school as appropriate.</li><li>Working as part of a team to plan collaborative schemes of work and learning plans for pupils in their particular year group</li></ul>Discipline<ul><li>Providing guidance and advice to pupils on their social and emotional development</li><li>Maintaining high standards of behaviour in all learning situations; being aware of the School’s Behavioural Policy and procedures</li><li>Maintaining a high standard of pupil behaviour in the playground and common areas, being alert and proactive and inform and liaise with class teachers when appropriate</li></ul>Professional Development<ul><li>Reviewing on an ongoing basis, teaching methods and programmes of work</li><li>Participating in arrangements for professional development which support the development of the whole School and the individual</li><li>Participating in meetings at the school which relate to the curriculum, administration, or organisation</li></ul>✅ Candidate ProfileRequired:<ul><li>KYSATS recognized university degree in Physics</li><li>Physics IGCSE and A-level curriculum experience</li><li>Excellent knowledge of the English language</li><li>Be able to communicate effectively within a team of colleagues</li><li>Be a positive, kind, and caring person</li><li>Good classroom management skills</li><li>Prior experience of teaching in a school setting will be considered as an advantage</li><li>IB Physics knowledge will be considered as an advantage</li></ul>Knowledge &amp; Understanding<ul><li>Substantial knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning in Primary/ Secondary Schools.</li><li>Confident use of a range of ICT skills.</li><li>Understanding the principles of Assessment for Learning.</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of data analysis and the ability to use data to set targets for improvement.</li><li>Confident in school self-evaluation and inspection frameworks.</li><li>Up-to-date knowledge &amp; understanding of the current national education agenda</li><li>Understanding of how children &amp; adults learn and effectively apply their learning</li><li>Up-to-date knowledge of child protection and safeguarding protocols, preferably in an international context.</li></ul>&nbsp;Communication<ul><li>Communicate clearly and consider, where appropriate, the views of others.</li><li>Effectively communicate orally and in writing to a range of audiences.</li><li>Negotiate and consult effectively.</li><li>Be mindful of working in different cultures and understand how to communicate.</li></ul>Self Management<ul><li>Plan time and organise work effectively.</li><li>Prioritise and manage time effectively.</li><li>Work under pressure, meet deadlines.</li><li>Be self-motivated.</li></ul>School Ethos<ul><li>Capacity to influence others.</li><li>Ability &amp;
