Duties &amp; Responsibilities&nbsp;Capital Owl, on behalf of our portfolio Companies, is seeking to recruit a high calibre professional for the position of Accounting Officer, to be based at our offices in Nicosia. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role will play a key part in the Group’s financial control &amp; accounting, and feed into the monthly management reporting packs.&nbsp;The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, including processing of invoices, payments, and monitoring cash flow. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform bookkeeping and maintain accounting records for a portion of the Group’s legal entities.</li><li>Conduct bank, debtors, creditors, stock and other reconciliations.</li><li>Support tax compliance, VAT submissions, and statutory reporting requirements.</li><li>Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.</li><li>Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>Process payments in accordance with company policies.</li><li>Assist in preparing management accounts, budgets and other financial reports required by the Group.</li></ul>&nbsp;Qualifications &amp; Skills:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).</li><li>Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role (2–5 years preferred).</li><li>Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.</li><li>Familiarity with accounting software and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS/EU GAAP) is an advantage.</li></ul>&nbsp;We offer competitive salaries, a brand new working space at the heart of Nicosia, as well as other benefits. &nbsp;If you are interested in applying email your CV directly to <a href="mailto:cl@capitalowl.com">cl@capitalowl.com</a> with subject matter Accounting Officer Vacancy.&nbsp;
