We are looking for a talented and motivated Sales & Interior Design Assistant to join our Athens showroom and support our sales and design team in delivering a high-quality experience to private and professional clients.
This is an ideal opportunity for an interior design professional who combines creativity and technical skills with a strong interest in high-end furniture, architecture and iconic design.
The Role
The Sales & Interior Design Assistant will support clients throughout the furniture selection process, assist with the preparation of design proposals and quotations, and work closely with the Athens showroom and the wider El Greco team in Cyprus.
Main Responsibilities
Welcome and assist customers visiting the showroom.
Understand clients' needs, preferences and requirements and assist them in selecting the appropriate furniture and interior solutions.
Prepare client presentations and design proposals.
Prepare quotations and relevant project documentation.
Prepare floorplans and furniture layouts for residential and other interior projects.
Work closely with the sales and design team in Cyprus and participate in video meetings when required.
Assist in following up on client enquiries and ongoing projects.
Maintain accurate and professional presentation of client materials.
Ensure that the showroom is consistently tidy and presented to a high standard, including the arrangement of cushions, accessories and furniture displays.
Maintain a strong knowledge of the products and brands represented by El Greco.
Keep up to date with new products, collections and developments within the international design industry.
Provide a professional and welcoming experience to every showroom visitor.
Requirements & Skills
Educational background in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
Previous experience in interior design, furniture sales, showroom or a related environment will be considered an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong interest and knowledge of high-end designer furniture and interiors.
Good knowledge of the history of iconic furniture designs and the architects and designers behind them.
Strong understanding of interior design principles, proportions, materials and spatial planning.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
Strong visual sense and attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple client requests.
Professional, positive and client-oriented attitude.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with colleagues in Cyprus.
Languages
Greek: Excellent / native-level proficiency.
English: Excellent professional proficiency.
Working Hours – 40 hours during the Showroom opening hours.
Monday & Wednesday: 10:00–15:00
Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 10:00–20:30
Saturday: 10:00–16:00
Location & Travel
The position is based at the El Greco showroom in Alimos, Athens.
Travel is not normally required. Occasional travel may be required for specialised training programmes organised by represented international brands.
