CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a boutique provider of Corporate Services with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accounting records and general ledgers, preparing and submitting VAT returns, performing account and bank reconciliations, and assisting with tax computations, statutory filings, and the preparation of financial statements. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar, and holders of, or those working towards any relevant accounting certifications are welcome to apply. You will need to possess approximately 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, good knowledge of VAT and accounting principles, and strong attention to detail. Knowledge of E-Soft and CaseWare will be considered an advantage. A highly attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of accounting records and general ledgers.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Assist with tax computations and other statutory filings.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Prepare trial balances and general ledger reconciliations.
- Performance of account and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Assistance with reporting and year-end procedures.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or any other related field.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Good knowledge of VAT and accounting principles.
- Fluent English, both written and verbal.
- E-Soft and CaseWare knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
