Job Description
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Group of Companies offering a range of services including Audit, Accounting & Assurance, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting & Payroll Assistant to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As an Accounting & Payroll Assistant, you will be responsible for performing month-end accounting and payroll activities, as well as coordinating with the accounting team to complete assigned accounting tasks within agreed deadlines. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a business-related field, who possess approximately 2+ years of experience in financial & management accounting. Knowledge and experience with Indirect Tax including VIES is essential, and excellent knowledge of Greek and English is a must. Working hours are from 08:00 - 17:00 on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday and from 08:00 - 14:30 each Wednesday and Friday.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing month-end accounting and payroll activities.
- Responsible for performing financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
- Coordinate with the accounting team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
- Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
- Establish primary working relationship with clients.
- Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation.
- Monitor engagements to ensure work is effectively on time.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a business-related field, are preferred.
- Approximately 2+ years of experience in financial & management accounting
- Knowledge and experience with Indirect Tax, including VIES is essential.
- Very good use of MS Outlook and accounting software.
- Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language
- Strong Organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
