Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping and recording of all transactions in the accounting software
- Maintain a complete set of books, prepare journals and post entries, keep records of accounts, and verify procedures used for recording financial transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts, debtors, creditors, prepare working papers, review trial balances and underlying balance sheet accounts as part of the month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Prepare and submit VAT/VIES returns to Cyprus authorities
- Support the audit process, preparing relevant documentation and liaising with external auditors
- Monitor inventory transactions and perform inventory reconciliations.
- Assist with stock valuations and cost analysis.
- Participate in stock counts and inventory audits.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Sales, Production, Logistics, and HR departments.
- Participate in finance-related projects and ERP improvements.
- Undertake any other accounting duties assigned by the Finance Manager or Management.
Qualifications
- Holder of LCCI Higher diploma and/or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance, Economics, or another related field
- Partly qualified ACA/ACCA will be considered as an advantage
- 2+ years experience as an Accountant
- Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently as well as in a team
- Good knowledge of accounting software (SAP) will be considered as an advantage
- Computer literate and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel)
- Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written)
- Good knowledge of preparation and submission of VAT and VIES to be considered an advantage
