Minthis Resort, one of Cyprus’ most prestigious luxury lifestyle destinations, is seeking to recruit a professional Chief Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic, multi-entity environment and wants to play a key role in supporting the continued growth of a leading luxury resort in Cyprus.

Location: Minthis,  Paphos

Responsibilities:

·        Oversee and supervise the daily operations of the accounting department across all resort-related entities.

·        Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

·        Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

·        Maintain direct communication with the resort’s ownership and senior management, providing financial insights and supporting strategic decision-making.

·        Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure timely completion.

·        Monitor cash flow, review daily bank balances, and oversee bank reconciliations.

·        Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with all tax and statutory obligations.

·        Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation of required documentation.

·        Ensure the effective operation and integrity of the accounting and financial systems.

·        Provide financial analysis and support to management for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.

·        Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other regulatory authorities.

·        Respond to internal and external financial enquiries and provide guidance on accounting matters.

Necessary requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

·        Holder of a professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA.

·        Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar accounting or finance role, preferably within hospitality, real estate, or a multi-entity environment.

·        Strong knowledge of IFRS and Cyprus tax regulations, including VAT compliance.

·        Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).

·        Proven ability to analyze and manage large volumes of financial data with accuracy and attention to detail.

·        Experience working with accounting and ERP systems; familiarity with hospitality or property management systems will be considered an advantage.

·        Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

·        Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

·        Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate including basic salary, 13th salary and Provident Fund, Full year employment.
