CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Audit, Tax, Accountancy and Advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Client Accounting Manager to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the accounting and bookkeeping department of the firm, overseeing a diverse portfolio of local and international clients. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another relevant field, and be a qualified member of the ACA, ACCA or equivalent. Our client is seeking applicants with approximately 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role. You will need to have good experience with Cycom, Esoft, SAP, Navision, CaseWare or similar systems, as well as knowledge of government portals and electronic filing systems. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th salary, performance-based bonus, flexible working hours, Friday afternoon’s off, and paid parking. Standard working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Thursday, and from 08:00 – 14:00 each Friday.
 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Manage and oversee a portfolio of local and international clients. 
• Act as the primary point of contact for accounting, reporting and compliance matters. 
• Review bookkeeping records, reconciliations and management accounts. 
• Oversee preparation of financial statements under IFRS. 
• Supervise VAT, tax, VIES, OSS and statutory compliance obligations. 
• Liaise with government authorities and regulators. 
• Lead, mentor and evaluate accounting staff. 
• Monitor departmental workloads, budgets and deadlines. 
• Implement process improvements and internal controls. 
• Provide advisory services including budgeting, cash flow and financial analysis. 
• Support business development initiatives and client proposals. 
• Ensure quality control and risk management procedures are followed. 

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field. 
• Qualified ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification. 
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience. 
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. 
• Experience managing client portfolios and accounting teams.
• Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel.
• Experience with Cycom, E-Soft, SAP, Navision, CaseWare or similar systems. 
• Knowledge of government portals and electronic filing systems. 
• Strong leadership, communication and client management skills. 
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities. 
• High level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
