Job Description
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established, and well-known global business services provider with offices in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit an Internal Accountant to join their growing team. As an Internal Accountant, you will work closely with the Financial Controller. Your duties will include the preparation of accounting records, VAT & VIES returns, and communicating closely with clients for credit control purposes. Our client is seeking applicants who hold a minimum of 2+ years of proven work experience in a corporate, management or business services firm dealing with local and international clients, and fluency in English is essential. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer which includes a 13th salary, and Provident Fund. Working hours are from 08:15 – 17:15 from Monday to Thursday, and from 08:15 – 14:00 each Friday.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage client data.
- Preparation of accounting records, bank, and creditors reconciliations.
- Preparation of VAT returns and VIES returns.
- Reporting and reconciling client account statements.
- Direct communication with clients exercising credit control.
- Reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
Key Skills/Experience:
- An academic background in a relevant field of study is desirable.
- Holders of the LCCI Higher accounting certification, or equivalent are encouraged to apply.
- 2+ years of proven work experience in a corporate, management or business services firm dealing with local and international clients.
- Fluency in English.
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office).
- Sound organisational skills.
- Dynamic person with ability to take initiative.
