Assistant Bakery Manager – Front of House

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Assistant Bakery Manager to join our team. You will work closely with the Bakery Manager, helping lead our front-of-house team while remaining hands-on with customer service and barista duties.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in excellent service, and can help keep a busy bakery organised, positive and running smoothly.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Support the Bakery Manager with the daily running of the front of house
Help manage, organise and motivate the FOH team
Take responsibility for the team when the Bakery Manager is absent
Provide a high level of customer service and ensure the team maintains the same standard
Perform barista duties and maintain high coffee-quality standards
Serve customers and help during busy periods
Help organise daily staff positions, breaks and workflow
Train and support new and existing team members
Ensure the counter is well presented, clean and fully stocked throughout the day
Communicate with the bakery/production team to ensure smooth service and product availability
Handle customer questions, feedback and complaints professionally
Help maintain cleanliness, hygiene and food-safety standards
Assist with opening and closing procedures
Help monitor stock and communicate when supplies need replenishing
Lead by example by being punctual, professional, friendly and hands-on

Working Conditions & Benefits:

Salary: €1,500 net per month
Working days: Tuesday–Saturday
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shifts: 3 morning shifts + 2 closing shifts per week
Annual leave: 21 days
Summer holidays: 2 weeks in August
Christmas: Bakery closed for holidays
Easter: Bakery closed for holidays

This role is ideal for someone with barista/customer-service experience who is ready to take on more responsibility and develop into a strong leadership role, while working directly under our Bakery Manager.
