Reports to: Salon Manager
Hours: Full time / part time

Purpose of the role
To deliver outstanding hairdressing services to every client, build and retain a loyal clientele, and contribute to a positive, professional salon environment that reflects the standards of the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out thorough consultations to understand each client’s needs, lifestyle and hair condition
• Deliver a full range of services to a high standard: cutting, colouring, blow-drying, styling and treatments
• Recommend suitable retail products and in-salon treatments, and meet agreed retail and service targets
• Rebook clients and actively grow your column through excellent service and client care
• Keep up to date with current trends and techniques through ongoing training and education
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-presented work area and follow all health, safety and hygiene procedures
• Support colleagues, including assisting with juniors and apprentices where required
• Represent the salon professionally at all times, in appearance, attitude and conduct

Skills and experience

• Minimum two years’ salon experience as a qualified stylist
• Strong cutting and colouring skills with a good eye for detail
• Confident communicator who builds rapport easily
• Reliable, well organised and able to manage time effectively
• Passion for hair and a genuine desire to keep learning
