Job Title: Waiter A/Waitress A 

Department: Food & Beverage – Front of House

Reports To: Assistant Beverage Manager
 

Job Profile:

Ararat – The Signature Collection is seeking an experienced and service-driven Waiter A/Waitress A to lead guest interactions in our luxury dining venues.  As part of our pre-opening team, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience, ensuring world-class service standards and contributing to the success of a prestigious 5-star hospitality environment.

Job Description:

·        Welcome and engage guests in a warm, professional, and courteous manner

·        Present menus confidently, highlighting daily specials and making tailored recommendations

·        Accurately take food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar teams

·        Serve food and beverages with precision, attention to detail, and personalized service

·        Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience

·        Proactively handle guest requests, feedback, and concerns in a professional manner

·        Manage billing and process payments accurately and efficiently

·        Ensure tables are properly set, maintained, and presented according to service standards

·        Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow

·        Stay updated on menu changes, seasonal offerings, and special events

·        Support the training and guidance of junior waiters when required

·        Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and service standards in the dining area

Person Specification:

·        Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant

·        Strong customer service orientation with a passion for hospitality

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·        Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure

·        Strong attention to detail and presentation standards

·        Team leadership qualities with a positive and professional attitude

·        Good product knowledge (food, wine, beverages) considered an advantage

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment

 Work Environment:

·        Fast-paced, guest-focused luxury hospitality setting

·        Requires standing for extended periods

·        Adherence to grooming and uniform standards
