Aelia Wellness Retreat

Aelia Wellness Retreat is seeking a skilled, passionate, and reliable Full-Time Cook to join  our culinary team. 

Located in a tranquil and inspiring setting, Aelia Wellness Retreat combines boutique  hospitality, wellness, dining, and exceptional events. In addition to serving our hotel and  wellness guests, we host a variety of premium events, including weddings, christenings,  corporate retreats, private celebrations, and special functions. 

We are looking for a dedicated culinary professional who takes pride in their work and is  committed to delivering consistently high-quality food — from healthy and thoughtfully  prepared wellness cuisine to large-scale event catering. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established  menus, recipes, and presentation standards. 

• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portion control, and presentation across à la  carte, buffet, and event catering. 

• Assist with the preparation and execution of weddings, christenings, corporate  events, private functions, and other special occasions. 

• Work efficiently as part of the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely food  preparation and service. 

• Coordinate closely with the kitchen and events teams regarding preparation, timing,  quantities, portions, and presentation for large groups. 

• Maintain excellent standards of food quality and presentation at all times. 

• Follow all food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP procedures and regulations. 

• Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas clean, organized, and properly  maintained. 

• Assist with preparation and stock control to ensure the kitchen is adequately supplied  for daily operations and events. 

• Work effectively during busy services and large-scale functions while maintaining  attention to detail. 

• Contribute to a positive, professional, and respectful kitchen environment. 

• Perform other kitchen-related duties as reasonably assigned by management. 

Requirements & Qualifications 

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a similar culinary role. 

• Proven experience in à la carte, buffet, and event catering. 

• Diploma or recognized qualification in Culinary Arts, Cookery, or a related field. 

• Good knowledge of professional kitchen operations and food preparation techniques. 

• Strong understanding of HACCP, food hygiene, and food safety standards.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills. 

• Ability to work efficiently and remain calm under pressure, particularly during busy  services and large events. 

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 

• Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude. 

• Reliability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic. 

• Passion for food and a genuine desire to contribute to an exceptional guest  experience.
