The Opportunity

We are looking for an Accountant to join our team and work closely with the finance function of a leading technology company based in Nicosia.

Responsibilities will be tailored to the successful candidate’s experience and skills and shared within the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on experience, responsibilities may include:

• Recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records
• Preparing sales invoices based on orders, contracts, timesheets and other sources
• Assisting with the administration of the timesheet system and related management reporting
• Performing bank, customer, supplier and other account reconciliations
• Processing supplier invoices and assisting with local and foreign payments
• Assisting with monthly closing and preparation of accounting reports
•  Handling invoices and payments to local and foreign suppliers
• Preparing VAT, VIES and other statutory and tax forms
• Supporting the preparation of management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash-flow reports

·         Liaising with the external auditors for the preparation and audit of financial statements

• Undertaking other accounting and finance responsibilities as required within the team

Candidate Profile

• Degree, diploma or other relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance or ACCA/ACA in progress
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience will be considered an advantage; candidates with less experience and a strong relevant background are also encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems will be considered an advantage
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Good command of Greek and English, both written and spoken
• Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and a responsible approach to work
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
