Job Opportunity

At SMT Shipping, we believe in empowering growth, both for our business and our people. We are an established and forward-thinking global maritime group of companies, looking for an Accountant to join the Accounting & Reporting Department in our Limassol Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping and recording of all transactions in the accounting software

• Reconciling bank accounts, debtors, creditors, reviewing trial balances and underlying balance sheet accounts.

• Preparing and submitting VAT/VIES returns to Cyprus authorities.

• Supporting the audit process.

• Cooperating effectively with other departments both in Cyprus and abroad.

• Undertaking any other relevant tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any other related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting roles.

• Excellent knowledge of English and Greek, both verbal and in writing.

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Proficiency in using accounting systems.

• Communication and collaboration skills.

• Attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
