Job Title: Accountant
Location: Limassol, Cyprus
Reporting to: Finance Manager / Financial Controller

Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support the Group’s finance function across multiple entities. The role will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and contributing to continuous process improvements. The role will involve working closely with finance teams across multiple international locations to maintain accurate books and records across the Group.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to gain exposure across a diverse international group.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger Accounting
· Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across all entities
· Collaborate with international teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records across jurisdictions
· Manage and process:
- Payroll-related postings
- Fixed asset accounting and registers
- Intercompany account reconciliations
- Accruals and prepayments
- Loan accounts
- Credit card transactions
- Deferred and accrued income
- Clearing accounts
Accounts Payable & Receivable
· Issue sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
· Follow up with clients on outstanding payments
· Support the calculation of sales commissions
· Process accounts payable transactions:
- Review, code, and submit invoices for posting
· Assist with Purchase Order (PO) management:
- Issue PO numbers
- Reconcile supplier invoices to POs
Cash Management
· Update and maintain cash flow reports
· Initiate supplier and payroll payments in line with approval processes
Month-End Close & Reporting
· Support month-end closing activities
· Assist in the preparation of management accounts
· Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled
Tax & Compliance
· Assist with VAT returns and other tax reporting requirements
· Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements
Audit Support
· Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits
· Assist in resolving audit queries
Process Improvement
· Identify and recommend improvements to existing finance processes
· Support implementation of efficient and scalable financial practices
Skills and Experience
Essential
· Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
· Minimum 2-4 years’ relevant accounting or finance experience (candidates with slightly less experience but strong potential and willingness to learn will also be considered)
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
· Experience with general ledger and reconciliations
· Good understanding of VAT and basic tax requirements
· Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
· Adaptable, hands-on approach with willingness to support transactional tasks such as data entry where required, particularly during system implementation phases
Desirable
· We welcome candidates who are interested in studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA). The Company will support this through funding of relevant study and examination fees (subject to conditions), as well as ongoing membership costs
· Experience working across multiple entities or international environments
· Exposure to audit processes
