An opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller to join our Finance Team in Nicosia. 

Main Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices
• Chase overdue payments via phone, email, and written correspondence
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer communications
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies
• Allocate incoming payments and process credit notes where required
• Prepare and review aged debtor reports
• Assess and review customer credit limits and payment terms
• Conduct credit checks for new and existing customers
• Escalate problematic accounts and recommend legal action where necessary
• Negotiate repayment plans with customers when appropriate
• Collaborate with sales and finance teams to resolve invoicing or account issues
• Support month-end closing and reporting procedures
• Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures
• Produce regular reports on debtor balances, cash collection performance, and bad debt exposure

Requirements

• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in a demanding accounting environment; experience within an agency or group structure will be considered an advantage
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• ​Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or E-soft accounting software will be considered an advantage
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to operate with initiative, discretion, and a proactive approach in identifying and resolving discrepancies
