The Position

The Duran is seeking a motivated and organized individual with knowledge of e-commerce and digital marketing to manage and operate its online store and support the continued growth of its e-commerce activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for website management, product design and content, online order processing, customer support, digital merchandising, and the overall day-to-day operation of The Duran’s e-commerce platform.

Through analysis, commentary, interviews, podcasts, video content, and online discussion, The Duran has built a global audience that values free speech, critical thinking, open debate, and independent journalism. The Duran operates an online store selling exclusive merchandise under The Duran brand. 

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain The Duran’s e-commerce website, ensuring website functionality, content updates, optimal user experience, and overall performance.
• Manage and optimize product content, including descriptions, attributes, specifications, categories, pricing, inventory status, and product data.
• Manage the online order process, including order fulfilment, shipment coordination, returns, and customer enquiries.
• Assist in the development and design of new merchandise, apparel, and signature product collections.
• Design and update product pages, landing pages, promotional banners, and website sections.
• Perform image editing, including cropping, resizing, background removal, retouching, colour correction, and web optimization.
• Provide excellent customer support.
• Create, manage, and optimize promotional activities, discount campaigns, coupon codes, bundles, and special offers.
• Support and execute digital marketing initiatives, online campaigns, and e-commerce growth strategies.
• Use AI tools to assist with content creation, image editing, workflow automation, customer service, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the planning and development of marketing campaigns.
• Undertake any additional duties and projects assigned by management relevant to the role and business needs.

Qualifications & Profile Requirements

• Experience managing e-commerce websites and online retail operations.
• Experience managing e-commerce websites and online retail operations.
• Experience with WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, or similar e-commerce platforms.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other design and image editing tools.
• Strong understanding of online sales processes, customer experience, and digital merchandising.
• Knowledge of digital marketing, social media management, and online advertising platforms.
• Familiarity with AI tools for content creation, image generation, editing, and workflow automation.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Pleasant personality, integrity of character, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Experience creating content for e-commerce websites, email marketing campaigns, and social media platforms will be considered an advantage.
• Previous experience in e-commerce, online retail, digital marketing, customer service, or digital merchandising will be considered a strong advantage.
• Previous experience in the fashion or apparel industries will be considered an advantage.
