The Executive Housekeeper ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the Housekeeping Department, maintaining the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.

Job Summary:

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for supervising all housekeeping operations, managing staff, and ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are maintained to the highest standards. This role requires leadership, organization, and a strong focus on service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and supervise the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, including room attendants, public area attendants, and laundry staff.
• Ensure that guest rooms and public areas meet the hotel’s cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards.
• Develop and implement housekeeping schedules, assigning tasks to staff and monitoring progress.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, corridors, lobbies, and other public areas.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping staff to ensure high performance and professional development.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, controlling costs for labor, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
• Monitor and maintain inventories of cleaning supplies, linens, guest amenities, and equipment.
• Coordinate with the maintenance and technical departments for repairs and preventive maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Maintain records and reports on staff attendance, room inspections, inventory, and lost-and-found items.
• Implement environmental and sustainability practices within the Housekeeping Department.
• Ensure compliance with the hotel’s GDPR and data protection policies.
• Participate in departmental and hotel management meetings to improve operations and guest experiences.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management that are related to the Housekeeping Department.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in housekeeping in a hotel environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning chemicals, and equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Professional appearance, pleasant personality, and service-oriented mindset.
• Knowledge of Greek and English languages.
