Finance & Accounting Manager

Pedieos IVF Center & Aphrodite Egg Bank — Nicosia, Cyprus

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Finance & Accounting Manager who can run the day-to-day books for both entities while also acting as our internal financial analyst — someone equally comfortable reconciling a bank feed and building a board-ready dashboard. Revenue is multi-currency and cost control across two operating entities is a priority, so strong analytical judgement matters as much as technical bookkeeping skill.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Core Accounting & Bookkeeping

•     Maintain accurate, up-to-date books for both companies in a modern cloud accounting platform (Xero preferred; QuickBooks Online or similar acceptable).

•     Perform regular bank and account reconciliations across all currencies and accounts.

•     Process and schedule payments to all suppliers, ensuring approvals, correct coding, and on-time payment to protect supplier relationships and avoid late fees.

•     Manage accounts receivable: patient/clinic invoicing follow-up, aging reports, and collections in coordination with clinical/admin staff.

•     Prepare and file VAT and other statutory returns in line with Cyprus tax requirements, working with our external auditors/tax advisors as needed.

 

2. Systems & Integration

•     Own the integration between Revolut business accounts, Xero (or chosen accounting platform), and the clinic's patient/invoicing management software, so transactions, invoices, and payments flow through automatically rather than being re-keyed manually.

•     Identify and implement automations that reduce manual data entry and reconciliation time.

•     Keep the chart of accounts, currency settings, and multi-entity structure clean and consistent across both companies.

 

3. Reporting & Dashboards

•     Build and maintain monthly financial dashboards covering P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet for each company, tailored for a non-finance audience (management/Director).

•     Produce clear monthly management reports summarizing financial performance, key movements, and risks.

•     Track and report revenue by currency (EUR, GBP, CAD, and others as applicable), including FX exposure and conversion impact, given the egg bank's international sales.

 

4. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

•     Deliver a monthly expense report that breaks down spend by category and classifies each cost as fixed/stable or variable.

•     Flag which cost lines are highest, and which are trending upward month over month or year over year, with likely drivers.

•     Recommend concrete cost-saving opportunities (renegotiation, supplier consolidation, timing changes, waste reduction) and track savings realized.

•     Build and maintain rolling budgets and forecasts; report variance vs. budget/forecast with explanations.

•     Support pricing, hiring, and investment decisions with financial modelling and scenario analysis.

 

 

What You'll Be Expected to Answer Each Month

 

As a standing part of the role, you'll own recurring answers to:

•     What are our monthly expenses, broken down by category and by company?

•     Which of those costs are stable/fixed and which are variable — and why?

•     Which costs are highest, and which are rising fastest?

•     Where can we realistically cut or reduce spend, and what would the impact be?

 

Required Skills & Experience

•     3+ years' experience in an accounting or finance role, ideally including some FP&A or management-reporting exposure.

•     Hands-on proficiency with modern cloud accounting software — Xero strongly preferred.

•     Practical experience with bank/account reconciliation and accounts payable/receivable processes.

•     Comfortable connecting and troubleshooting integrations between fintech tools (e.g., Revolut), accounting software, and business/CRM systems.

•     Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; able to build clean, readable dashboards and models.

•     Experience working with multi-currency accounts and basic FX concepts.

•     Analytical mindset — able to move from raw transaction data to a clear recommendation.

•     Fluent in Greek and English. Good written English for reporting to leadership;

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

•     Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; part-qualified or qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA (or local equivalent) is a plus.

•     Experience working across two or more related legal entities.

•     Prior experience in healthcare, clinics, or another regulated, patient-facing industry.

•     Familiarity with Cyprus VAT and statutory filing requirements.

•     Books are reconciled and up to date at all times, with no surprises at month-end close.

•     Suppliers are paid on time, every time.

•     Leadership has a live, trustworthy dashboard to check financial health at a glance.

•     Rising costs are flagged before they become a problem, with actionable savings recommendations.

•     Revolut, Xero, and the clinic's invoicing system talk to each other with minimal manual intervention.
