Cypurs Serbellas Boutique Hotel Maintenance Technician

Department: Engineering / Maintenance 
Reports To: Chief Engineer / Maintenance Manager 

 

Job Summary: 
The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for guests and staff. This includes electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and general maintenance work in accordance with hotel standards and safety regulations. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks throughout the hotel (guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house).
• Inspect and maintain electrical systems, lighting, outlets, and wiring.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, HVAC systems, and water heaters.
• Conduct preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
• Ensure all maintenance work meets safety, health, and quality standards.
• Monitor and maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.
• Record and report maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Support special projects and renovation work when needed.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and front office to minimize guest disturbance during maintenance.
• Assist contractors and external service providers when required.

Qualifications & Skills: 

• Technical diploma or certification in electrical, mechanical, or related field.
• Previous experience as a maintenance technician, ideally in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer literacy (for maintenance logs and reports).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift, climb, or work in confined spaces.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and on-call duties.

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to lift up to 25 kg.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
