Coordinate marine repair and drydock projects from initial assessment and quotation through to completion, with guidance from senior technical personnel.
Conduct vessel/site inspections and review drawings, specifications and customer requirements to determine the scope of work and required resources.
Assist with preparing quotations, cost estimates and supporting technical documentation.
Plan and coordinate project activities, schedules, personnel, equipment, materials, subcontractors and suppliers.
Liaise with customers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments regarding project requirements, progress and schedules.
Monitor project progress, costs, resources and technical performance, escalating significant issues or changes to the Technical Manager.
Oversee project activities to ensure work is carried out safely and in accordance with technical specifications, quality standards, risk assessments, permits and Company procedures.
Ensure personnel are appropriately briefed on the work, hazards and safety requirements, including toolbox talks and pre-job briefings where required.
Participate in risk assessments, safety inspections and incident investigations as required.
Verify completed work, inspections and testing meet the required technical, quality and customer standards.
Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
Contribute to improvements in safety, quality, efficiency and cost control.
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant technical qualifications and experience.
Advantageous to have some experience in ship repair, drydock operations, marine engineering, technical-project coordination or a comparable operational environment.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and project documentation and translate requirements into defined work scopes and resource needs.
Sound technical judgement and the ability to address routine and non-routine project issues within established procedures and approved parameters.
Effective communication, organisation and stakeholder-coordination skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Proficient in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Greek will be considered an advantage.
Clean criminal record.
Benefits:
Salary Scale: €2000 - €2600 gross per month dependant on qualifications and experience.
Monday – Friday, 08.00 – 17.00 hrs.
