Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate marine repair and drydock projects from initial assessment and quotation through to completion, with guidance from senior technical personnel.
• Conduct vessel/site inspections and review drawings, specifications and customer requirements to determine the scope of work and required resources.
• Assist with preparing quotations, cost estimates and supporting technical documentation.
• Plan and coordinate project activities, schedules, personnel, equipment, materials, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Liaise with customers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments regarding project requirements, progress and schedules.
• Monitor project progress, costs, resources and technical performance, escalating significant issues or changes to the Technical Manager.
• Oversee project activities to ensure work is carried out safely and in accordance with technical specifications, quality standards, risk assessments, permits and Company procedures.
• Ensure personnel are appropriately briefed on the work, hazards and safety requirements, including toolbox talks and pre-job briefings where required.
• Participate in risk assessments, safety inspections and incident investigations as required.
• Verify completed work, inspections and testing meet the required technical, quality and customer standards.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Contribute to improvements in safety, quality, efficiency and cost control.

 Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant technical qualifications and experience.

• Advantageous to have some experience in ship repair, drydock operations, marine engineering, technical-project coordination or a comparable operational environment.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and project documentation and translate requirements into defined work scopes and resource needs.

• Sound technical judgement and the ability to address routine and non-routine project issues within established procedures and approved parameters.

• Effective communication, organisation and stakeholder-coordination skills.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Proficient in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Greek will be considered an advantage.

• Clean criminal record.

Benefits:

• Salary Scale: €2000 - €2600 gross per month dependant on qualifications and experience.

• Monday – Friday, 08.00 – 17.00 hrs.
