Site Mechanical Engineer - Carammondani Engineers

Role Description

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to coordinate mechanical installation works on site and support the delivery of complex projects. You will work with project teams, subcontractors and other disciplines to ensure systems are installed safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor mechanical installation works on construction sites, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements and quality standards.
• Supervise site teams and subcontractors, track progress against the project schedule and raise any delays or resource needs promptly.
• Review technical drawings and coordinate with the design team to resolve installation issues and implement approved changes.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, clients and other contractors to coordinate mechanical works with the wider project.
• Check materials and equipment against project requirements and assist with inspections, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Maintain site records, report progress and technical issues to project management, and participate in construction meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering and registration with ETEK.
• 5–10 years of experience in mechanical installations or the delivery of electromechanical construction projects.
• Experience coordinating site works, subcontractors and suppliers, with the ability to address technical and practical issues.
• Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong organisational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.

Additional attributes

• Experience with mechanical works in hospitals, high-rise buildings, industrial facilities or similarly complex projects.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and suppliers and work effectively with other trades.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, identify potential site issues and propose practical solutions.
• A proactive approach to quality, safety and progress on site.
• Clear communication and the ability to build effective working relationships with site teams and project stakeholders.
