About the Department of Economics and Business

The Department of Economics and Business is one of three departments in NUP's School of Economics, Business, and Computer Science. We are a supportive and collegial team, with 18 full-time faculty members and several part-time faculty members. The Department offers and contributes to a wide range of programs including:

• A Bachelor of Business Administration (BScBA) degree and a Bachelor of Digital Business (BScDB).

• Ten conventional and distance-learning postgraduate programs.

• A joint Ph.D. with Co-Supervision in Business Administration in collaboration with the Department of Business Administration, University of Piraeus

Job Description:

The Department of Economics and Business at Neapolis University Pafos (NUP) invites applicants for a full-time appointment (Lecturer/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor) in Management/Entrepreneurship (all areas), with a preferred starting date of September 1st, 2026. Candidates will maintain an active research agenda while teaching four sections per academic semester in this position. We focus on developing a good relationship with our students and to this end our sections are generally less than 40 students. The candidate will teach Management/Entrepreneurship courses from within the undergraduate and graduate courses offered on campus in Pafos, Cyprus. The candidate will also make a strong ongoing service contribution to the department, school, university, and/or the broader community.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

The Department of Economics and Business at NUP seeks applicants to do applied research in the areas of Management/Entrepreneurship. A demonstrated strong potential for excellence in scholarly research and teaching is required. Applicants should normally have an earned doctorate in Management/Entrepreneurship. PhD candidates who are close to completion will also be considered. The position entails conducting research, teaching, and service.

• A teaching dossier including a statement of teaching philosophy, peer teaching assessments (if applicable), student teaching evaluations (if applicable), course outlines (if applicable), and any other materials that demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching.

• Short-listed applicants will be required to provide:

• At least three letters of reference and reference contact information.

• A copy of transcripts at the time of an interview or preferably before

Language:

§  Excellent knowledge of Greek (strongly desirable).

§  Excellent knowledge of English (both verbal & written)

 

Salary and benefits:

The salary will be analogous to any prior experience.
