Job Description

Philippou Law Firm is seeking to recruit two experienced, organised and detail-oriented Mid-Level Accountants to join our growing Accounting Department in Paphos.

The successful candidates will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting requirements of a portfolio of local and international clients, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance and the timely completion of all assigned work.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records for a portfolio of clients.
• Record and reconcile bank transactions, sales and purchase invoices, expenses, and other financial entries.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT , VIES and OSS returns.
• Assist with payroll calculations and related submissions.
• Prepare accounting records, schedules, and supporting documentation for annual audits.
• Liaise with auditors, clients, banks, and relevant authorities.
• Monitor accounting, tax deadlines, and ensure the timely completion of all filings and deliverables.
• Review financial information, identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in an accounting, audit, fiduciary or professional-services environment.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, VAT and financial reporting.
• Experience managing multiple clients or entities simultaneously.
• Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and time-management skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and take ownership of assigned work.
• Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
