As a Pastry Chef, the employee should be responsible for the below duties:
• Maintaining the highest standards of goods prepared from the kitchen.
• Preparing a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, pastries and desserts.
• Experimenting with new recipes and menu ideas to attract new and old customers as well as a wholesale market.
• Decorating and presenting pastries in an appealing manner.
• Overseeing pastry kitchen operations and workflow.
• Ensuring consistency in taste, texture and presentation.
• Monitoring ingredient inventory and placing orders if needed.
• Creating custom cakes and desserts.
