CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Electronic Money Institution (EMI) with expanding operations here in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Payment Gateway Operations Manager to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Payment Gateway Operations Manager, you will take internal operational ownership of payment integrations and partner coordination, working closely with gateway providers, acquirers, and internal teams. In this role, you will help ensure payment integrations run reliably in production, support new integrations, help resolve live payment issues, and contribute to payment performance and routing optimization across our payment ecosystem. Our client is seeking applicants who possess 3+ years of experience in payment operations, gateway operations, PSP, or acquiring environments, with a strong of the payment lifecycle (authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, chargebacks). Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage the operational lifecycle of integrations with PSPs, gateways, and acquirers (from onboarding through go-live and production support).
- Coordinate MID setup with acquirers and ensure correct merchant and routing configuration.
- Support cashier configuration, routing logic, and transaction rule setup together with gateway and acquiring partners.
- Act as primary operational point of contact for payment partners and merchants.
- Support live payment monitoring, decline analysis, and production incident coordination.
- Identify operational blockers and coordinate resolution across internal teams and partners.
- Support operational readiness across integrations.
- Support onboarding of new PSPs, acquirers, and APM providers.
- Support merchants during technical onboarding and payment setup.
- Maintain documentation of integrations, onboarding flows, and partner configurations.
- Support optimization of payment routing and approval performance.
Key Skills/Experience:
- 3+ years experience in payment operations, gateway operations, PSP, or acquiring environments.
- Strong understanding of payment lifecycle (authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, chargebacks).
- Experience working with MIDs, merchant onboarding, and payment integrations.
- Hands-on experience supporting live payment environments.
- Experience working with acquirers and gateway providers in production environments.
- Ability to analyze payment declines and coordinate resolution with partners.
- Technical understanding of APIs, payment integrations, and transaction flows.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Experience supporting multi-market or multi-currency payment environments is a plus.
