Responsibilities:

• Support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging learning activities and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and provide additional support where needed.
• Assist in preparing classroom material, content, resources, and learning spaces for lessons and activities.
• Help maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Support students in developing independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and outdoor play as required.
• Assist with basic observation and feedback to help teachers monitor student progress and well-being.
• Provide support to students who may require additional guidance, including EAL learners or students needing differentiated support.
• Contribute positively to the classroom community and the wider school activities.
• Follow school policies and procedures relating to safeguarding and student supervision.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children in a school or educational setting is preferred.
• A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field is desirable.
• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or learning support assistant.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
• A caring, patient, and supportive approach when working with children.
• Ability to follow guidance from the classroom teacher and contribute positively to the classroom environment.
• Excellent fluency in English, both written and spoken language  - native fluency will be considered a plus.
• A BA in Primary Education or other related fields will be considered a plus.
