Project Manager Lead

About the team:

PRIME Implementation Services is an international team responsible for the successful delivery of complex implementation and migration programmes for clients worldwide. The team works across functions, geographies and partners to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with client and organisational objectives.

What you will be doing:

As Project Manager Lead, you will provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership for large-scale, complex financial technology projects and initiatives from initiation through delivery and closeout. You will lead delivery across multiple business segments and shared-service functions, under commercial and contractual commitments and constraints, and maintain alignment across scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and resources. You will also strengthen delivery capability through governance, sound decision-making, continuous improvement and mentoring of project managers.

The key responsibilities of the role will be:

• Lead large-scale global implementation and migration projects through the full delivery lifecycle, coordinating clients, internal functions, shared services and third-party partners to achieve agreed outcomes.
• Develop, communicate and maintain integrated project plans covering requirements, scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, dependencies, resources, deliverables and operational readiness.
• Monitor project performance against baselines, anticipate and resolve complex issues, manage scope change and escalate matters requiring senior or executive attention.
• Own project financial and commercial control, including estimation, budgets, actuals performance, forecasting, contractual impacts, change management and opportunities to improve revenue or delivery efficiency.
• Build trusted relationships with senior sponsors and diverse stakeholders, using negotiation, conflict resolution and transparent reporting to maintain alignment and confidence in delivery.
• Exercise sound judgement and appropriate autonomy in complex assignments, while mentoring project managers and strengthening governance, quality assurance and project delivery practices.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science or a related area, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6+ years of relevant project management experience, including proven end-to-end leadership of large-scale and complex IT or financial technology projects. 
• Strong software implementation experience and sound knowledge of application development methods and the software development lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multinational, virtual and cross-functional teams across multiple business areas, shared services and external partners.
• Advanced planning, resource management, estimation, budgeting, negotiation, stakeholder management, risk management, conflict resolution and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience managing projects under commercial and contractual constraints, with responsibility for budgets, billing, forecasting, reporting and corrective action.
• A relevant university degree or equivalent training and work experience, excellent written and spoken English, and flexibility to travel or support clients across time zones when required.

Added bonus if you have:

• PMI PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent recognised project management certification.
• Direct experience delivering card management, payment processing or banking technology implementations.
• Experience delivering complex customisations, new modules, framework enhancements or solutions in new countries or locations.
• Experience with Microsoft Project and broader Microsoft Office tools used for planning, reporting and governance.
• Experience mentoring project managers and improving project financial management and delivery practices across a team.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is EUR 50,000.00 - EUR 70,000.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay.
