We are looking for a motivated and organized Purchasing Assistant to join our Marine Spares Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who is looking to build a career in the maritime industry. Previous experience is not required, as training will be provided.

Main Responsibilities

• Handling suppliers' inquiries and obtaining quotations.
• Preparing and processing purchase orders.
• Following up orders from placement through to delivery on board vessels.
• Coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and vessel agents.
• Maintaining daily communication with customers and suppliers.
• Monitoring order progress and ensuring timely deliveries.
• Updating purchasing records and maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Maritime Studies, Shipping, or a related field or a related field.
• Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken).
• Good computer skills, including ECDL or equivalent Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and attention to detail.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 08:30 – 17:30
• 1-hour lunch break between 12:30 – 14:00.

Salary & Benefits

• Starting salary from €1,000 gross per month (depending on qualifications and performance).
