DC Demetriades, a leading supplier of building materials in Cyprus, is seeking a motivated Purchasing Officer to join our Purchasing team. Working as part of the team, the successful candidate will support purchasing activities across key product categories, including sanitary ware, tiles and flooring.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse sales, stock levels and inventory movement to determine purchasing requirements and prepare purchase orders accordingly.
• Manage relationships with local and international suppliers, negotiating prices, terms and lead times.
• Research market trends, new products and suppliers to support the continuous development of our product portfolio.
• Monitor orders from placement through shipment and final delivery.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders and internal departments regarding deliveries, delays and stock requirements.

• Maintain accurate purchasing records within the company's ERP system.

   

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement or a related commercial role is preferred, ideally 2 years or more.
• Experience in sanitary ware, tiles, flooring or other building materials will be considered a strong advantage.
• Strong commercial awareness, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Very good knowledge of Excel and ERP systems.
• Excellent command of Greek and English.

• Highly organised, proactive and detail oriented.
