The Company manufactures and supplies food service and packaging disposables to professional caterers and food processors by offering them a one stop supply solution and by managing long term customer relationships. As a market leader in Greece and Cyprus, Caterways enjoys strategic alliances with international chains, big national accounts as well as medium sized independent customers.

Our team is growing due to an increase in workload, and we are looking for a Purchasing Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

·       Manage purchasing activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, products and supplies.

·       Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate prices and agree on delivery terms.

·       Prepare, issue and monitor purchase orders, following up on order confirmations and delivery schedules.

·       Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely procurement and maintain optimal stock availability.

·       Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify potential new suppliers.

·       Monitor supplier performance in terms of pricing, quality, delivery times and reliability.

·       Track international orders and proactively communicate with suppliers regarding order readiness and shipment timelines.

·       Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information and cost data in SAP or other relevant systems.

·       Assist with cost analysis, price comparisons and purchasing reports to support cost control and informed decision-making.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in purchasing, procurement or supplier management.

• University degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics or equivalent.

• Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP systems will be a plus.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders, suppliers and deadlines.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in Greek and English.
