CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a fully-licensed & regulated corporate services provider with offices in the heart of Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Client Accountant to join their growing team. As a Senior Client Accountant, you will be responsible for producing the day-to-day accounting of a portfolio of clients, ensuring that work is completed accurately, professionally, and within agreed deadlines. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, and holders of, or those working towards any professional accounting qualifications are encouraged to apply. You will need to possess approximately 4+ years of experience in a relevant accounting position, with sound knowledge of IFRS along with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. A highly attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a generous base salary, 13th salary, annual bonus scheme, Friday afternoon’s off, and hybrid working options.
 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Manage the accounting function for an assigned portfolio of clients.
• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records and perform bookkeeping and accounting entries.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management accounts on Caseware.
• Communicate directly with clients to obtain information, resolve accounting matters, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Manage multiple client assignments and deadlines independently.
• Work closely with the Managing Director on more complex client matters.
• Support the continued improvement and growth of the Accounting Department.
• Maintain the high level of professionalism, confidentiality, responsiveness, and client service.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• A relevant university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant professional accounting experience.
• Qualified or Partly Qualified ACCA, ACA or CPA will be considered an advantage.
• Experience with companies trading in securities is an advantage.
• Basic Cyprus tax legislation, VAT and payroll knowledge to assist you in performing your work and answering clients questions.
• The ability to produce accounting records based on IFRS and communicate with clients independently.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Confidence in communicating directly with clients and external professionals.
• Excellent command of the English Language, both verbal and written.
• Strong computer literacy and experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
