Senior Finance Officer

Universal Life is seeking to recruit a dynamic and detail oriented individual to join the Finance Department, at the Company’s Head Offices in Nicosia. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth operation of the company's accounting and financial processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Main responsibilities
Prepare consolidated financial statements under IFRS for the Group,
Prepare monthly results analysis comparing actuals to prior year, forecast, budget; support business decision-making
Monitor the Group’s KPIs and analyse variances
Monitor the Group’s solvency and liquidity metrics, explaining variances and suggesting ways to enhance them
Prepare the group's budget and regular forecasts.
Prepare papers supporting business decisions, as required
Prepare the Group’s projections aligned with the 3-5 year business plan
Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts.
Prepare all external reporting requirements (e.g. QRTs, NSTs, and other regulatory returns)
Prepare any ad-hoc reports as required
Prepare and maintain regular competitor analysis and market reports to identify market trends, opportunities and competitive developments.
Continuously document and financial processes and controls, suggest and implement process improvements
Perform any other duties or responsibilities as requested, in line with the company’s needs.
Requirements
ACA/ACCA Qualified or equivalent professional accounting qualification
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
2-4 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Accounting, Finance or Audit.
Excellent understanding of accounting principles and IFRS.
Experience with IFRS 17 and the insurance industry considered an advantage.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with SAP/FPSL systems will be considered as advantage.
Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.
