CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a boutique group of technology companies operating across a range of industries and disciplines including information security, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will research, evaluate, and synthesize technical information to design, develop and test systems. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, who possess 4 + years of hands-on software development experience. You will need to have a strong track record in designing and developing high-quality applications, with any prior experience working in FinTech or RegTech considered an advantage. An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience. This is a fully onsite position based in Larnaca.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Collect and document requirements and develop specifications.
Research, evaluate and synthesize technical information to design, develop and test systems.
Develop data, process, and models to optimize architecture and to evaluate the performance and reliability of designs.
Plan, design, and coordinate the development, installation, integration, and operation of systems.
Assess, test, troubleshoot, document, upgrade and develop maintenance procedures for developed applications.
Lead and coordinate teams of professionals in the development of software and integrated information systems, process control software, and other embedded software control systems.
Work together with other teams to ensure quality delivery of world class applications.
Key Skills/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related fields of study.
4+ years in software development with strong hands-on experience, and 1+ years of active team management.
Knowledge in web technologies, frameworks, data structures, and design patterns.
Proficiency with database systems.
Experience in development and integration of APIs, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
A strong track record in designing and developing high-quality applications.
Familiarity with ETL tools will be considered a plus.
Experience in FinTech or RegTech is a plus.
Experience working with business analytics is a plus.
Comfort working across the entire tech stack and willingness to jump in where needed.
Able to take initiative and solve problems with minimal supervision.
Write clean, maintainable code and care deeply about quality.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
