CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a boutique group of technology companies operating across a range of industries and disciplines including information security, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will research, evaluate, and synthesize technical information to design, develop and test systems. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, who possess 4 + years of hands-on software development experience. You will need to have a strong track record in designing and developing high-quality applications, with any prior experience working in FinTech or RegTech considered an advantage. An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience. This is a fully onsite position based in Larnaca.
 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Collect and document requirements and develop specifications.
• Research, evaluate and synthesize technical information to design, develop and test systems.
• Develop data, process, and models to optimize architecture and to evaluate the performance and reliability of designs.
• Plan, design, and coordinate the development, installation, integration, and operation of systems.
• Assess, test, troubleshoot, document, upgrade and develop maintenance procedures for developed applications.
• Lead and coordinate teams of professionals in the development of software and integrated information systems, process control software, and other embedded software control systems.
• Work together with other teams to ensure quality delivery of world class applications.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related fields of study.
• 4+ years in software development with strong hands-on experience, and 1+ years of active team management.
• Knowledge in web technologies, frameworks, data structures, and design patterns.
• Proficiency with database systems.
• Experience in development and integration of APIs, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
• A strong track record in designing and developing high-quality applications.
• Familiarity with ETL tools will be considered a plus.
• Experience in FinTech or RegTech is a plus.
• Experience working with business analytics is a plus.
• Comfort working across the entire tech stack and willingness to jump in where needed.
• Able to take initiative and solve problems with minimal supervision.
• Write clean, maintainable code and care deeply about quality.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
