Kitroot builds an AI-powered observability platform and "SQL Ops Copilot" for SQL Server and Azure SQL. We work with technical teams in demanding, regulated environments where a database going quiet is measured in minutes and euros.
You will look after production SQL Server estates across live international systems. Structured training, one-to-one coaching and certification support come with the job, not vaguely "after your probation."
What you'll do
Own backups, restores and tested recovery procedures — not just the jobs, the proof they work
Run security and permissions, patching and version upgrades across several sites and maintenance windows
Diagnose slow queries, blocking, deadlocks and missing indexes, and explain in plain language what you found and why
Monitor and tune production estates, and help shape what our own platform should be watching
Write and maintain runbooks so the next person isn't guessing
What we're looking for
Hands-on SQL Server administration in production, not lab or test-only exposure
Experience across multiple sites or time zones, or a clear appetite for it
Comfort with T-SQL, execution plans and wait statistics
Azure SQL Database or Managed Instance experience is a plus, not a requirement
Fluent English; Greek is a plus
Bachelor's degree
What we offer
€2400-4000 month gross, depending on experience
A real training budget: certification fees and study time paid, plus one-to-one coaching from senior engineers
Hybrid working from Nicosia (remote option is also available).
