We contribute to society, building confidence and trust in the markets, upholding the integrity of organizations and supporting our communities.&nbsp;Our shared values guide the way we behave to make a positive, enduring impact:<ul><li>Lead the way</li><li>Serve with integrity</li><li>Take care of each other</li><li>Foster inclusion</li><li>Collaborate for measurable impact</li></ul>&nbsp;The Legal Counsel RoleThe Legal Counsel will act as a legal advisor with a primary focus on contracting, regulatory and compliance matters, supporting Deloitte Middle East’s internal legal operations.&nbsp;The successful candidate’s key responsibilities include the following:&nbsp;Contracting (Primary Focus)·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Draft, review, and negotiate&nbsp;commercial contracts of various nature, including Cloud / Software license agreements, service agreements, leases, NDAs, supplier agreements, and internal firm arrangements.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Advise internal stakeholders on contractual risk, compliance obligations, and standard terms.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Contribute to the development and maintenance of&nbsp;contract templates, playbooks, and approval processes.&nbsp;Regulatory, Compliance &amp; Risk (Primary Focus)&nbsp;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Advise on&nbsp;regulatory and compliance matters&nbsp;affecting firm operations across multiple Middle East jurisdictions.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Monitor and interpret changes in laws, regulations, and professional services requirements, and assess their impact on the firm.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Support implementation of&nbsp;internal policies, governance frameworks, and compliance standards&nbsp;in line with Deloitte Middle East and global requirements.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Respond to regulatory inquiries, support audits, and assist in managing interactions with regulators and authorities.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Partner with Risk, Compliance, Quality &amp; Ethics, and leadership to ensure consistent application of regulatory obligations.&nbsp;General Legal Advisory (Generalist Role)&nbsp;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Provide day-to-day legal support on a broad range of&nbsp;operational, commercial, and governance-related matters&nbsp;affecting the firm.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Assess legal risk and propose pragmatic, business-aligned solutions.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Support firm-wide legal initiatives aimed at enhancing&nbsp;operational efficiency, risk management, and regulatory compliance.&nbsp;Corporate Affairs Support (when required)&nbsp;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Support corporate matters such as:<ul><li>Drafting and reviewing resolutions, powers of attorney, and corporate documentation.</li><li>Assisting with entity compliance, filings, and governance documentation.</li></ul>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Coordinate with the corporate affairs team to ensure regulatory and governance alignment.&nbsp;Leadership Capabilities·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Builds own understanding of our purpose and values; explores opportunities for impact.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Demonstrates strong commitment to personal learning and development; acts as a brand ambassador to help attract top talent.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Understands expectations and demonstrates personal accountability for keeping performance on track.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Actively focuses on developing effective communication and relationship-building skills.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Understands how their daily work contributes to the priorities of the team and the business.&nbsp;Requirements·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Law degree (LLB or equivalent).·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in a generalist, regulatory, compliance, or commercial legal role, ideally within a law firm, professional services firm, or in-house legal department.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Proven experience in: Regulatory compliance and legal risk management; Providing broad-based legal support across operational matters; Commercial contracting (drafting, reviewing, and negotiation); Exposure to corporate governance and entity matters (supporting role).·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong understanding of&nbsp;regulatory frameworks, compliance obligations, and risk management.
