Senior Accountant

Tiomarkets is a fast-growing and ambitious company headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, that provides access to global financial markets through our online trading platform.

Job Description
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Book-keeping and recording of the Group’s companies’ transactions on a daily basis
· Preparation of bank and other reconciliations on a daily basis
· Reconciliation of intercompany accounts
· Bank payments to various vendors/suppliers
· Assisting Head of Finance with preparation of reports and other relevant tasks
· Provide effective support and back-up to colleagues when necessary and as required
· Participating in various projects and ad hoc assignments
· Responsible for the proper and efficient filing of all documents relating to the above procedures

Key Attributes
· University Degree in Accounting and/or Finance or Economics or related field
· Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including at least 2 years in a senior accounting or similar role.(FX experience will be considered as an advantage)
· Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
· Knowledge of at least one accounting software, preferably QuickBooks, will be considered as an advantage
· Excellent knowledge of English language, both oral and written
· Basic knowledge of VAT and Cyprus taxation system
· Able to organize and manage time efficiently and effectively and good attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent team player who will take ownership
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Professional and reliable
